Freight quotes inside Claude and ChatGPT.

What it does

White Arrow Freight Quotes is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. Once added, your assistant can price truckload, LTL and expedited intermodal freight between US ZIP codes, check transit times and list the lanes we run. It is free, needs no account, and only reads: it cannot book freight or change anything. Results are estimates, not binding quotes; a firm quote comes by email.

• Estimate freight rate (estimate_rate): A low and high price range in US dollars for Economy, Premium and Guaranteed service on a US lane, with the routing (LTL, truckload or expedited intermodal) and transit days. Needs origin and destination ZIP, mode and weight; LTL under 4,000 lb also needs a freight class.

• Get transit time (get_transit_time): Typical transit days per service level for a lane, and whether each level moves by truck or rail. No price.

• List service lanes (list_service_lanes): The long-haul lanes White Arrow runs, with miles, modes and typical calendar-day transit.

Add it to Claude

• In Claude on the web or Claude Desktop, open Customize, then Connectors.
• Choose + Add, then Add custom connector. Name it White Arrow, paste https://quote.whitearrow.com/mcp and choose Continue.
• Under Authentication choose No sign in, then Add.
• In a chat, open the + menu, then Connectors, turn White Arrow on and ask for a quote.

On Team and Enterprise plans an owner adds the connector first, under Organization settings, Connectors (Add, Custom, Web); members then connect it from Customize, Connectors. Once White Arrow is listed in the Claude connector directory you can add it from there by name.

Add it to Claude Code

Run this in your terminal:

Add --scope user to use it in every project. Check it with claude mcp list or /mcp inside Claude Code.

Add it to ChatGPT

• Once White Arrow is listed in the ChatGPT directory, search for White Arrow and connect it.
• Until then, on chatgpt.com open Plugins, choose +, then Add custom MCP server. Name it White Arrow and enter https://quote.whitearrow.com/mcp as the server URL.
• Choose No authentication, accept the warning, then Create as a plugin and install it.
• In a new chat, type @ and pick White Arrow.

On Business, Enterprise and Edu workspaces an admin may need to allow custom MCP servers first.

Add it to OpenAI Codex

Limits and data

Requests are rate limited, and some shipments (oversize, lanes we do not serve, unusual freight) come back without an online price and an invitation to request a firm quote. The connector uses only the shipment details your assistant sends (ZIP codes, mode, equipment, weight, pallets, class, and pickup date and pallet dimensions if given), plus your network address for rate limiting, which is not stored. It never asks for your name or contact details. See the privacy notice and terms of service.
